Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AiMoviez ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AiMoviez is a platform that allows users to upload, share, and vote on short video clips. The Service includes features such as video tournaments, leaderboards, and social interactions.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Service.

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Violates any laws or regulations
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material
  • Includes personal information of others without consent
  • Contains malware or harmful code

Winning entries and their prompts are public. When one of your entries wins a chapter, the entry, its author name, and the text prompt used to generate it become visible to other users so they can learn from it. Prompts for chapters still being voted on are never shown. If you do not want a prompt published, do not submit that entry to the tournament.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Manipulate votes or gaming systems
  • Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to access unauthorized areas of the Service
  • Use automated systems to interact with the Service
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Service

6. Credits, Payments and Subscriptions

6.1 Credits

AI generation is paid for with credits. Credits are a prepaid balance used solely inside the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. The credit cost of each feature is shown before you confirm it and may change as our providers' prices change.

6.2 Credit expiry

Purchased credits expire 12 months after the date of purchase if unused. Free or promotional credits may expire earlier, as stated when they are granted.

6.3 Failed generations

If a generation fails and no video is delivered, the credits charged for it are refunded to your balance automatically. Credits spent on generations that were delivered are not refundable, including when you are unhappy with the creative result — AI output is inherently variable.

6.4 Monthly Pass (subscription)

The Monthly Pass grants a fixed number of credits each billing cycle for a recurring fee. It renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the credits dialog; the pass then remains active until the end of the paid period and is not renewed. Credits already granted for the current cycle remain in your balance.

6.5 Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

Credits are digital content supplied immediately. By completing a purchase you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once credits are delivered to your balance, in accordance with Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. For credits you have not yet spent, contact us and we will consider a refund case by case.

6.6 Chargebacks

If a payment is reversed or disputed, the corresponding credits are removed from your balance. Where those credits have already been spent, we may suspend the account until the balance is settled. Please contact us before opening a dispute — most issues are resolved faster directly.

6.7 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes where required.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are owned by AiMoviez and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIMOVIEZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
